For many of us, feeling lost is not a good feeling. We do as many things as possible to NOT feel lost: distractions of all kinds, friends, activites, addictions. As many things as possible. Because feeling lost, a sensation usually equated with feeling empty and lonely, is not ok.
But what if we could begin to understand, as the quote notes, that being lost is also a part of our life process? That to know and move forward requires a sense of 'I don't know'. From Dante: "In the middle of the journey of my life I came to myself within a dark wood where the straight way was lost." How can we surrender to not knowing, to feeling lost? There are many, many ways and I would suggest that for all of us - me included - it would be good to write down a few ideas that can help us relax and not get distracted. A few ideas that can help us 'sink' into not knowing in order to emerge 'knowing'. Here are some ideas from Huffpost to help you find yourself: www.huffpost.com/entry/7-tips-to-find-yourself-when-youre-feeling-lost_b_7514516 And if, down the road you need some help, call/text me 360-432-1236.
