Shame

Shame. Even saying the word makes me feel sort of 'heavy' in my heart.

My teachers always say the difference between guilt and shame is that a person feels guilty when they have done something wrong.

Shame, however, is a belief that "I am wrong."

Shame is carried through generations and is passed down automatically. No one says: oh yes, give me shame to deal with in this lifetime. It just happens. It just IS a part of who we are.

I don't actually know anyone who has not dealt with shame in some way.

Once recognized shame is NOT something that a person needs to carry on and pass on to other generations! No...speaking it, crying it, howling it, drawing it...dancing it out...these all reduce shame. And the more we let it go, the less impact it has on us.

So if you are aware of shame you are carrying, if you look back at your family and become aware of past generations carrying shame, living with shame of all kinds, you can work with letting your shame go. Healing yourself. Feeling worthy. Worthwhile.

Free of shame. Call/text me. I have worked extensively with my own shame release and that of others. 360-432-1236
