So often if we have had early trauma, CPTSD or childhood PTSD, we don't have experience of magic. Wonder. Beauty. When babies and children suffer at the hands of others - almost no matter what the suffering is - they shut down. Or use fight/flight as a way to get attention, even if it is negative.
So I find I am often talking about some of the things people have missed, or are missing out on. Play. Fun. The easy freedom in dancing, goofing around...just hanging out! Bubbles. Games. The things we sometimes assume all children have had growing up, or have experienced.
And that is not true. That is not the experience of too many people.
And...the good news is that it really is never too late for most of us. If we want. IF WE WANT. Looking for magic, learning to play, hang out...be easy in your skin is a choice. One you might have to work for...but a choice.
So ask yourself what you are choosing. Is it what you want? Are there things you want more of? And how can you get them?
