Sometimes it is hard to determine how we feel. We can say how we think...our opinion or judgment.
But sometimes feelings and identifying feelings is elusive.
So if you are frustrated, angry, resentful...feeling 'out of sorts', it might help you to take a look at this list and name your feeling.
And then find that feeling in your body: is it in your heart? Your tummy? Maybe on your shoulders? And what IS the sensation you are experiencing?
Identifying where in our bodies our emotions 'live' can be very helpful in either managing them or enhancing them. To manage: the next time your breath is faster, your chest tightens...you can put your hand/s on your chest and speak kind words to your body. Just like a parent would, or a pet owner would, in soothing a child or animal. Try it: it works!
Or if you are feeling happy and you can sense that happiness 'lives' between your tummy and your heart, or in your arms...again put your hand/s on those places, breathe in and really allow the happiness and joy to expand. To expand throughout your body and out into the world! For the world can feel and sense your joy and happiness!
