This exquisite poem by Mary Oliver is, to me, so sweet and touching. "To ease us with warm touching, to hold us in the great hands of light"...such gentle and evocative beauty.
Mary Oliver wrote many, many wonderful poems over the course of her lifetime. She died early in 2019 and left a huge and important body of work. Here is a website with some of her poems and some video of her reading her poems: bookriot.com/2019/01/16/mary-oliver-poems/.

Poetry is a form of literature that is based on the interplay of words and rhythm to evoke a concentrated imaginative awareness of an experience or emotion. To put it simply, poems are products of artistic writing that aim to stir the imagination and emotions of people. Aside from being a form of literary art, poetry is also a therapeutic platform. It has a healing power that can make people feel better mentally and emotionally.
