How is your community? How do you define community for you?
Sometimes in our 'trying to make our lives work' we forget about other people. We forget about a larger 'tribe' that is accepting and cares about us and life. Nourishment.
Sometimes when we grow up we do not see our parents or caretakers 'model' how to have a community that is nourishing and supportive. Sometimes we see our parents or caretakers keeping the circle small, not counting on, or wanting to count on others. Sometimes keeping secrets.
I have no judgement about what a 'community' looks like for my clients. It can be one other person or more. What is important is what helps them feel supported, cared for and cared about. I have found that 'community', for me, has changed over time. Sometimes I need more and sometimes less.
How about you? What helps you, supports you...feels caring? That is all that matters: your perceptions. If you have questions about how supported, cared for, nourished you feel walking this earth and would like to talk about making changes, schedule a free consultation by calling or texting 360-432-1236.
