I always want to talk to potential clients before we make an appointment.
Why? For many reasons:
they get to ask me any questions they might have
they can share any information - the calls are confidential - about their issue or issues
clients get to decide if we are a good 'fit' and can work together
I might decide I am not the best therapist to work with a person and refer them to someone else
These are some of the reasons.
So what happens during the free, confidential consultation call?
*there is no rush to hurry you, and the call is scheduled at your convenience
*you can ask any questions or address any concerns
*you can ask: how do I make an appointment, what are your available days and times?
*what is the cost?
*how do you do receipts for insurance?
*I give you the office address and instructions for a first-time visit or our online appointment
*I remind you of how you can stay safe and talk about the steps I will take to meet safety precautions
* you get to decide if you want to make an appointment or not
I find this time to be very valuable for both the client - or even the potential client - and myself.
